Aptitude Round – Short Overview

The aptitude round mainly consisted of Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning questions.

Quantitative Aptitude: Profit & Loss: Deals with Cost Price, Selling Price, profit, loss, discount, and their percentages. Simple Interest (SI): Interest calculated only on the original principal amount. Compound Interest (CI): Interest calculated on the principal as well as the accumulated interest from previous periods. Ratio & Proportion: Used to compare quantities and understand relationships between different amounts. Speed, Time & Distance: Based on the relationship between speed, time, and distance, including relative speed and average speed. Problems on Trains: Application of speed, time, and distance involving train length, platforms, poles, and relative speed.

Logical Reasoning: Seating Arrangement: Arranging people or objects based on given conditions, such as position, direction, and neighboring relationships. Blood Relations: Identifying family relationships from a given chain of relationships. Syllogism: Determining whether a conclusion logically follows from given statements. Series: Finding patterns in numbers, letters, or symbols to identify the next or missing element. Coding & Decoding: Identifying the rule used to transform letters, numbers, or words into a particular code.

Overall: The round mainly tested basic mathematical concepts, logical thinking, pattern recognition, problem-solving ability, and accuracy under time pressure. For preparation, focus on understanding the concepts first and then practice different question types.
